Hola,

Working Holiday: This category applies to youth who wish to stay in Canada for tourism and cultural discovery while being authorized to work on an occasional basis in order to supplement their financial resources. This category also includes youth who would like to study English or French in Canada before travelling or working

Internships: This category applies to youth who wish to complete an internship under a contract of employment in a business in Canada as part of their studies or training.

Supplementary graduate training: This category applies to university or college graduates who wish to broaden their work experience through a work contract in Canada and increase their knowledge of the languages, society and culture of Canada.

Inter-institutional work-study agreement: This category applies to university or college students who wish to complete part of their curriculum in an institution in Canada as part of a work-study agreement.

There is no interview required as part of the application process. However, you may be requested to come to the embassy for an interview if judged necessary.

Bye.

I am a Chilean already living and working in Canada on a working holiday visa.  Is it possible to get an extension or new holiday working Visa to stay another year?  How would I start that process?

I have secured employement so far and my current employer says the job is mine if I stay.  I am also studying English to better improve my written and speech for future benefits.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Jose

Hola.

Gracias a quien me pueda aclarar esa duda.

Saludos,

Alejandra

Hola.

Note: In order to find a job in Canada, you need to be able to speak either French or English at a functional level. This means that you must be able to hold a basic conversation, understand instructions and answer basic questions. You are also obligated to have a social insurance number in order to be able to work in Canada, which you can obtain only once you have arrived in Canada.

There is no interview required as part of the application process. However, you may be requested to come to the embassy for an interview if judged necessary.

Saludos.
